Reading Response to NRA article

In AP World History, I have recently been working a project on the rights and responsibilities involving the Second Amendment and the federal government. In order to research this topic, I have learned a few new things. Firstly, I have learned how to use noodle tools! Noodle tools is a website that assists in the citation of resources. Also, I have learned about the different databases and places available to do research on because of the features of the library webpage. In one of the encyclopedias listed on the webpage, I read an article about the National Rifle Association of America.
The article explained to me what the National Rifle Association of America, also known as the NRA, is. The NRA is an organization that supports and encourages the use of guns in America for hobbies involving guns and sharpshooting. The NRA opposes the government restrictions of legally owning guns; the organization believes that banning the rights to own and use guns in America is unconstitutional, for it does not agree with the terms of the Second Amendment.
I found it interesting that the article I read was bias. It explained why the NRA does not want the government to ban gun rights; it did not explain why the government wants to ban the right to own and use guns. If the government’s reasons for wanting to ban the ability to own and use guns were explained, I am sure that the article would have explained the material from a different perspective.
